Meta Montgomery

Montgomery, Alabama, United States

Meta Montgomery is an operational AI data center with AI chips owned and used by Meta. It hosts an estimated 175k H100-equivalents of compute, supported by 153 MW of IT power at a capital cost of $5.8 B. In Q1 2027, we project it to rise to 407k H100-eq compute, 358 MW IT power and a cost of $13.6 B. We estimate that it uses Nvidia B300 chips.

The timeline of IT power and compute capacity is based on satellite imagery, our cooling equipment power model, structural similarity to known buildings, chip availability, and chip efficiency.

In September 2025, Meta announced a major expansion that will grow the campus to roughly 1.3 million square feet.

Buildings 1 and 2 are nearly complete, but there's still some equipment strewn around the site and few cars in the front carpark, so we expect 3 more months needed for commissioning and server installation. Building 3 has a half-finished roof and Building 4 shell is beginning construction.
