Aiken, South Carolina, United States
Meta Aiken is an operational AI data center with AI chips owned and used by Meta. It hosts an estimated 162k H100-equivalents of compute, supported by 142 MW of IT power at a capital cost of $5.4 B. We estimate that it uses Nvidia B300 chips.
The timeline of IT power and compute capacity is based on satellite imagery, our cooling equipment power model, structural similarity to known buildings, chip availability, and chip efficiency.
Announced in August 2024 as a more than $800 million investment, Aiken will be Meta’s 22nd U.S. data center.

Land clearing begins
Buildings 1 and 2 are nearly complete, but there's still some equipment strewn around the site. We expect 3 more months needed for commissioning and server installation.
Building 1 and 2 are operational (estimate).
